Gorgeous Penelope Cruz covers Vogue US June 2011, where she looks absolutely dazzling and radiant, showing her natural beauty. The popular 37-year-old actress once again proves that nothing is better than inherent beauty, which has no connection with makeup and Photoshop. The striking Oscar-winning actress, who has become a muse for Pedro Almodóvar and Woody Allen, talks about motherhood, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”, karaoke and post-Oscar In-N-Out burgers in the magazine. She is just shining in the photos, looking relaxed and happy, the reason of which maybe her motherhood.

When the word went about her son’s birth in January, she as if burst into tears. No wonder, baby Leonardo completely changed her life, presenting her with the sweetest and the most daring feelings in this life.
“One second. This has never happened to me. This is really funny. I’m sorry. It’s unexpected,” she says, adding that, “From the first second, you feel so much love. It is a revolutionary experience. That’s the best way I can describe it. It transforms you completely, in a second. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment—when you see that face, you are transformed forever.”
Penelope Cruz and her hubby, Javier Bardem, found out about her pregnancy just before the filming for “On Stranger Tides”. “I was pregnant and a pirate. A beautiful experience,” she said.
Penelope says that even though you may hear so many things about the feeling of becoming a mother, you can only feel it truly, when you live it: “Even if you have heard from all your friends and family, ‘This is what’s going to happen,’ until it happens to you, it’s hard to understand in your soul.”

Cruz was always for helping children in need and after Leo’s birth this feeling seems to have been intensified. “Even if you were aware of children and felt compassion, when you have your own, it multiplies,” she says. “It breaks your heart to know that there are so many children in the world suffering so much.”
No one doubts in the divine beauty and great acting talent Penelope Cruz possesses. Actually she was the first Spanish-born actress nominated for an Academy Award and the first to win it, and now she’s the first one with a star on the Walk of Fame. She won the Oscar for Woody Allen’s movie, “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”.
Penelope’s on-screen friendship with Pedro Almodóvar dates back to 1997’s “Live Flesh”. Still she remembers it very well, when Allen said: “I am going to write you a character that fits you like a glove”. Then he did, for “Live Flesh”. I played a whore giving birth in a bus.”

Cruz also turned to Almodóvar, asking him to help her in writing her Walk of Fame speech. And Almodóvar made rather an unusual suggestion: “If people are going to walk over you, better to be walked over on the Walk of Fame.”
In “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” Penelope plays Blackbeard’s daughter Angelica, who falls in love with Captain Sparrow (Johnny Depp). “They do this dance for the whole movie,” Cruz says.
Talking about her feelings on starring her work again, Penelope said: “It will feel strange the next time I hear ‘Action!’ I’m going to think I am on Mars.”
Penelope stated that she feels quite excited to star in the new film with Allen this summer in Rome, but she also admitted that she wants to spend a lot of time with her family. “Of course I will work, because we all need to work. But it’s very important to have time with my family.”
