Kate Upton has made quite a splash in the fashion industry. She’s been criticized for her weight, but has managed to model in everything from Sports Illustrated to Vogue to V. She obviously has a penchant for being in front of a camera, whether it be at a photo shoot or for a behind the scenes video. After all, the clip posted to YouTube of her doing the “Cat Daddy” dance is what helped put her on the map in the first place. Now, it seems Upton will try her hand at another on-camera gig.
Television personality Maria Menounos reportedly asked Upton to be a co-host on an upcoming show she’s working on. Menounos ran into the 20-year-old model at the opening of Andrea’s, a restaurant in the Wynn Las Vegas hotel and asked if she had any TV hosting experience. A source at the event said,
“I heard Maria saying she is prepping a new project for Telepictures. It seemed like she was trying to recruit Kate for a co-host.”
Telepictures, which is a division of Warner Bros. Television, is responsible for shows including Extra and Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers, both of which feature Menounos. It’s also behind Bethenny and TMZ on TV.
Kate Upton’s popularity on YouTube definitely doesn’t count as TV experience, but it does show that she’d likely bring a lot of attention to whatever she hosts. What do you think of the curvy model lighting up the small screen? Would you watch what she is hosting, or does it depend on what type of show it is?
