Lady Gaga is the New Face of Versace

gaga Lady Gaga is the New Face of Versace

Lady Gaga has just been unveiled as the new face of Versace for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Gaga was shot by photography duo Mert & Marcus for the campaign, of which only one shot has been released so far. Posing in a statement lilac cutout dress by the Italian fashion house, Gaga appears to be channeling a young Donatella Versace, complete with long blonde extensions and a glowing complexion. Versace shared the news via their twitter account, commenting:

This move doesn’t exactly mark the beginning of their relationship, Gaga has been using the archives of Versace as her own personal wardrobe for years – but she is likely to wear even more Versace than before now as the official face of the label. She kicked off her duties by arriving at the American Music Awards held during the weekend in the same dress that she wears in the new campaign image. It isn’t just Donatella who sees Gaga as a muse – the feeling is obviously mutual as the singer dedicated a full song to Donatella on her new album ‘Artpop’.
