We’ve all been there – when the most beautiful pair of towering stilettos has grabbed your attention and you’ve waved your plastic in the air without a second thought in order to own them – only to put on those works of art on your actual feet and feel the horrible pain – yep, heels hurt most of the time! Even if they don’t hurt instantly, after an hour or two, it can really put a strain on your feet.

There may be a solution to the painful problem that could make wearing heels a whole lot easier – a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Randal Haworth has created a simple foot numbing spray which lasts up to three hours.

The new spray contains a numbing agent – lidocaine HCI – which blocks out the pain effectively and virtually numbs your foot. Haworth commented on his innovation:

“It’s basically a painkiller with heat treatment, so it is able to penetrate the skin. The pain simply dissipates. It’s certainly enough to get you through a red carpet event.”

We can see how this might come in handy for an event or a night out – since it only lasts three hours. It might not be for every day use, but this new idea might work for those who want to feel comfortable in their favorite heels every now and then. The product is set to hit Walgreens and Foot Locker in a few weeks, retailing at $15 for a 1 oz. bottle and $32 for 4 oz.  Would you give it a go?
