UK nail polish brand Ciaté caused chaos at Sephora and other stores nationwide when they released their caviar manicure kit in the United States earlier this year, which included a bottle of nail polish and a bottle of microbeads to sprinkle over nails. It sold out immediately, and was followed by the release of the brand’s velvet manicure kit a few months later.
Now, Ciaté is hoping to cause some commotion again with their latest nail kit – the sequin manicure. The kit includes a bottle of “Glitter Grip,” which is just clear polish, a container of sequins, and a “Little Black Brush.” There will be three shades available – Harlequin (multi-colored sequins), Tutu (red, pink, and champagne colored sequins), and Super Duper (black, gold, and silver holographic sequins). The kits will sell for $15 each and will hit Sephora, Bloomingdale’s, and Nordstrom stores mid-October.
To achieve the look, you paint two coats of the clear polish on your nails, dip your nails in the sequins, wipe off the excess glitter with the brush, and then add a top coat of the Glitter Grip. It seems easy enough, but it might be trickier than expected. Even so, the look will definitely be a hit for Halloween and during the upcoming holiday season. It’s sure to be seen on plenty of stars too!
What do you think of the sequin manicure? Will you give this sparkly, 3-D mani a chance?
