Kim Kardashian graces the cover of Allure magazine, March 2012 issue, looking naturally beautiful and sultry. In the interview with the magazine the 31-year-old reality star dishes on working on a fresh start, on her life and future plans. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights from Kim’s cover story!
It’s known to the entire world that in August 2011, Kim married basketball player Kris Humphries in a fairy-tale like wedding. Unfortunately however, only seventy-two days later they got divorced.
Speaking with Allure about her personal life and future plans, Kim admits that: “Is it tough to watch [the show]? Yeah. Tough to see an unhappy time in your life. Do I think there are more haters than before? Not really. But I think this has given them a platform to have a louder voice. Will I be more private of a person? Am I more guarded? Absolutely. But, also, I’m a firm believer that my show is who I am.”
Is it difficult for Kim to still dream on starting a family after two failed marriages? “Do I want kids of my own? Absolutely. But I don’t know if that’s what’s meant for me. Maybe I’ll just work, work, work, and not think about it,” Kardashian says in the cover story.
It was back in October 2007, when Kim together with her two sisters, mom, bro, half-sister and stepfather starred in the E! television series ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians.’ Talking on the fact that she let cameras into her life, also about the limits, Kim said: “People [think] because you film your life on a reality show, you live everything for the cameras. But we all have limits. My mom has no limits. We need someone, right, to have no limits? That’s my mom.”
As for Kim’s own limits, seems like they are evolving. She admits that: “When I saw Khloé and Lamar get married – and they had their wedding on TV — I thought, Oh, my gosh, that’s so exciting! That’s what I want! If you were to ask me now, that’s not what I want.”
On whether Kardashian has regrets for sharing too much of her personal life, she doesn’t think too much about them. Still she admits that the experience “definitely made me want to be more private with my relationship, whenever I choose to get into one again. I’m not ready, but when that time comes, I’ll be more cautious about who I let my world open up to.”
Kim is famed for asking her 12 million Twitter followers (she calls them “dolls”) for advice what color of lipstick to wear. And although it may sound impossible, after so many replies, she takes their advice.
“It’s the glitz and the glam, but then we have the normal fights. I get a lot [of comments] like ‘I have no sisters and I wish I did’ or ‘I have tons of sisters, and we’re just like you!’ There are so many of us, someone can relate to one of us in the family,” Kim told Allure.
On having children, Kim said that: “Khloé joked with me and said, ‘Will you be my surrogate?’ I said, ‘I think I have a couple more years when I just want my body to myself. At 35, I promise I’ll consider it.”
Speaking about her future wedding, Kim says that if she gets married in future, she’ll do this privately, without any cameras. “I would just want it to be so special, with our family and close friends, and that’s it. Somewhere on a deserted island, very private. No cameras.”
