Kirsten Dunst has been named the surprise first ever global spokesperson for L’Oréal’s Professionnel products. The actress, who has appeared in ‘The Virgin Suicides’, ‘Spiderman’, ‘Melancholia’ and many other films, is not a stranger to the advertisement world and has previously appeared in fashion campaigns for Italian fashion house Miu Miu and American label Band of Outsiders. Speaking on her new role, Kirsten comments that she is happy to represent the company because they have such a strong fashion link:

“I feel very close to L’Oreal Professionnel. The brand is strongly connected to fashion, and I admire its commitment to innovation, constantly creating new professional services and products to achieve the most on-trend styles.”

Anne-Laure Lecerf, international general manager of L’Oreal Professionnel, commented that Kirsten is a very appealing person to have as a spokesperson because she is beautiful but also a modern woman who has been closely connected to the fashion world over the years. She adds that she has been impressed by how professional Kirsten is and she loves her very original personality:

“Kirsten Dunst has a timeless beauty and is a modern woman, closely connected to fashion. She has a strong personality and makes her own choices. Her great professionalism and commitment to excellence make Kirsten one of the most talented actresses I have ever met.”

Although she may be the first official spokesperson for L’Oréal Professionnel, British tv host Alexa Chung is also currently one of L’Oréal’s celebrity faces and has appeared in several of the company’s campaigns.
