It’s almost spring already and fashion and beauty retailers are releasing their new collections and campaign by turning to our favorite celebrities to represent their new products. Thus clothing and accessories brand Candie’s has chosen ‘Glee’ star Lea Michele to be its new spokeswoman for this year, who will star in a series of printed ads of the brand. Lea is coming to replace Vanessa Hudgens, who was the face of Candie’s in 2011. Other celebrities, who represented the brand are Britney Spears, Ashlee Simpson, Fergie, Jenny McCarthy, Hillary Duff and Kelly Clarkson.
This news first appeared on E! News as a brand insider declared: “Lea’s fans are the same as Candie’s fans,” and was later confirmed by the star herself via Twitter:
”It’s true! I’m so excited to be the new spokes women for Candies!! Such an honor!!!! Can’t wait for you guys to see the pics!!”
Actually, we don’t have to wait too long to see the printed ads of the new Candie’s campaign, as they are set to be launched on January 25. According to the rumors, the prints will show a completely different side of the diva’s personality.
Lea has previously collaborated with brands like Dove, Chevy and PETA, therefore fan expectations are quite high. Working for ‘Glee’ has helped Lea a lot to acknowledge her beauty: “My mother would say to me, ‘Barbra Streisand never got a nose job. You’re not getting a nose job.’ And this was before I really even knew who Barbra was. I just knew that she was, like, the messiah for girls like me. ‘Glee’ has made me feel beautiful. Now when people say that I don’t feel like they’re lying,” she states, proving that she definitely deserves to be the brand’s face.
