British actor Robert Pattinson has just been confirmed as the new face of Dior Homme fragrance. This began as a rumor several months ago which claimed Robert would take home a cool $12 million for the job, but it has not been confirmed exactly how much he finally racked in.

Although very few details have yet to be revealed about the new campaign – it has announced that the images have been created by American photographer Nan Goldin and French director Romain Gavras. Dior also stated that the campaign will have quite a limited release, only being rolled out in Europe excluding the U.K. (this seems strange considering he is British!) and Asia, excluding China and Japan.

Robert isn’t the first ‘Twilight’ star to bag a lucrative scent campaign – he joins his now ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart who is the current face of Balenciaga’s Florabotanica images for the second season running. Jude Law has previously been the fragrance’s past face. The fashion house issued the following statement about the news:

“The House of Dior is delighted to announce that actor Robert Pattinson is to be the new face of Dior Homme fragrance. He has since proven the scope of his acting talents by choosing films as varied as Remember Me …, Water for Elephants … in which he starred alongside Reese Witherspoon, or with his role as Bel-Ami, the famous Maupassant character.”
