British-based designer label Ostwald Helgason have lent their quirky and colourful aesthetic to Aldo Rise for a new Spring 2014 accessories collection. Bursting with bright colour, bold stripes and retro shapes, the collection stands out and makes a bold statement on any wearer. Featuring handbags, wedges, clutches, peep-toe sandals and more, this new collaboration collection is one of the most exciting to hit shelves this year.

Douglas Bensadoun, Creative Director at VP Marketing for ALDO, commented that the company have been a big fan of the British designer and are excited to collaborate with the fresh talent as part of their ‘Aldo Rise’ initiative which highlights up-and-coming designers and helps them launch in to further markets. He explains that the collection shaped up so well that they expanded the initial offering to include handbags even though it wasn’t planned:

“Ostwald Helgason has been on our radar for about two years now. Their subversive use of colour and pattern, the luxe yet effortless quality of their designs, and the mash-up of fine art references with modern technology translates beautifully into footwear – so much so, we had to do handbags as well.”

With prices ranging from  $65 to $130, this is one designer collaboration collection that is worth picking up a piece or two from – just pair with simple summer staples to complete your look with style. A simple white outfit would look amazing with a pair of heels and a clutch from this collection, creating a subtle and effortlessly chic daytime ensemble. The collection is available in stores now.
