Former ‘Sex and The City’ star Sarah Jessica Parker has always been known for her savvy style, especially in her role as fashion-forward Carrie Bradshaw. Now, she has taken a step in to the world of design, collaborating with luxurious footwear label Manolo Blahnik for her own collection which will include shoes, bags and even coats. Speaking on the designs, SJP comments that her ‘Sex and The City’ role had a big influence on her style choices:

“Because I got to play that role, I wore a lot of shoes, and by default I learned an enormous amount it’s hard to – no pun intended – walk away from that.”

The timeless pieces are set to retail for between $200 (£130), and $300 (£190) for simple flats/pumps, and bags for approximately $700 (£450). It is expected to arrive in stores early next year. The actress admits that the move in to design is almost expected because of her fashionable Carrie Bradshaw character:

“In a silly way, I think it’s what people have expected of me most because of Carrie Bradshaw, we’re putting new colours together that people don’t typically do, just beautiful combinations that you wish existed in your closet. And in terms of bags, thinking about that period of the Seventies into the Eighties, what those women were carrying, taking away the bells and the whistles and hardware and really making it about the bag.”
