Walking the catwalks during Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014, these 10 best pairs of shoes are bound to end up on every fashionable editor and celebrity when they hit the stores. Making a big statement, these designs carried through the designer’s vision for the label’s new collection, be that a retro twist, tribal theme, rock’n’roll vibe or anything else. Balmain opted to create several pairs of gold, white and black ankle boots, each with pointed tips to complete the label’s sophisticated yet edgy show. Designer Dries Van Noten added luxurious colourful snakeskin to his shoe designs, furthering his tropical look and making his designs even more exotic.
Givenchy’s daring sequin face masks was not the only noteworthy accessory of the show: designer Riccardo Tisci created gorgeous leather sandals in a mixture of interesting shades for the label’s collection . Also standing out was Saint Laurent’s leopard print booties: these ankle boots, as designed by Hedi Slimane, only added to his flawless rock inspired vision which mixed tailoring with plenty of leather. Céline and Chloé both opted for minimal, clean designs that were feminine and modern, perfect for everyday summer wear once the temperature finally rises. Check out our top 10 below!
