Shoe designer Rupert Sanderson and teamed up with fashion label Antonio Berardi to create a three piece shoe collection which will be available exclusively through online retailer Net-a-Porter. The three designs each feature clear PVC elements. There is a beaded art deco pair, a gold chain design and a striking electric blue peep-toe heel. The designs cost between £795 – £1675.
The two designers first met by accident five years ago, while actress Gwyneth Paltrow wanted to team a pair of Sanderson’s heels with a Berardi dress. The duo reconnected to collaborate on shoes for Berardi’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Sanderson commented that their work together is:
“a meeting of cultures, there is a true glamour to Antonio’s work.”
Berardi added that the two designers wanted to create iconic pieces that would become future classics:
“The idea was to create a small evening shoe collection of super chic, sexy and iconic pieces that will stand the test of time to compliment my collection, something completely different and exciting.”
The new three piece capsule collection will land on Net-a-Porter this week.
