Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci has enlisted a whole host of stars to take part in his subtle yet sophisticated black&white Fall 2013 campaign, as captured by photography duo Mert & Marcus. Hollywood actress Amanda Seyfried is one of his most surprising cast choices – he says he adores Amanda and even dressed her in one of the collection’s most memorable pieces – a Bambi print jacket with matching clutch.
Tisci continued the family-orientated vibe he opted for in the Summer campaign (most evident through the casting of Italian model Mariacarla Boscono and her newborn daughter) by calling on ex-Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld and her daughter Julia Roitfeld to appear in the new images – the two pose together close in graphic printed ensembles. Spanish actor Quim Gutiérrez and models Mariano Ontañon and Dalianah Arekion also appear in the remaining new photographs. Speaking on his vision, Tisci commented:
“I think it is a moment of history for me in fashion for my own gang, there is a gypsy feeling because it is the inspiration of the collection. Again, the reality of someone like Carine with her daughter showing real love or Quim with Amanda is very special to me. All of them, including the models, are real gypsies in their own life. They are never in one place. They travel the world.”
