What can lead to an original resort collection is a bright imagination and professional designing skills, and Antonio Marras is the designer, who combines both of these two. His limitless fantasy and Sardinian passion have always been the most powerful tools for him to always present extravagant and eccentric collections.
2011 is an important year for the renowned Kenzo label, as they are marking the 40th anniversary of the brand and to express his great esteem and devotion to Kenzo, Antonio Marras looked back at the earliest works of Kenzo Takada, when the world famous designer was trying to inject some fun and colors to the monotonous Parisian image. As a result he got a fantastic resort collection, full of bright colors, floral prints and a great amount of femininity.
Beautiful model Marlena Szoka is the one featuring in the Kenzo Resort 2011 lookbook, posing on a tulips garden background. The lookbook brings lots of solids, playful florals, youthful spirit and a touch of 70’s exuberant mood. The collection appears so diversy and playful due to the great amount of stripes and checks, colorful knitwear, a parade of floral prints and ground-sweeping maxi dresses. Antonio Marras seems to have fun with every single piece in the collection, giving them a sea of energy and charm. The lookbook becomes so exceptional and lovely due to the Asian-inspired atmosphere that Marras has brought. He has preserved certain designs, which made Kenzo so popular in the world, like the shirtdress based on a kimono.
The Kenzo Resort 2011 lookbook brings floral harem jumpsuit, nice ladies dresses, pleated shorts, knitwear, long prairie styled skirts, floral clogs, stylish bags, swimsuits, formal suits and other clothing pieces, most of which are covered with romantic floral prints. It’s absolutely a lovely and unique collection, which becomes a great getaway into the world of sweet dreams and fantasies.
