Stylist-turned-designer Rachel Zoe has revealed what she believes is the key to good style – she thinks it’s all about having the confidence to wear what you feel. She also thinks a smile makes a huge difference when it comes to pulling off an outfit and says it contributes hugely to the end result:

”To be honest, it’s all about confidence. When you look better, you feel better and smile more. Trust me, it goes a long way.”

Opening up on what she’ll be wearing this summer as the weather heats up, Rachel admits she lives in floaty loose-fitting caftans which look great both at the beach and casually too. She said she loves to wear them for any occasion:

”Summer means caftan weather. Let’s just wear caftans all days. Any excuse to wear a caftan!”

Sadly, Rachel recently had to cancel her most recent collection’s appearance at New York Fashion Week. The designer had just welcomed her second child and explained that she had to focus on her new son before her label at the time. She explained the situation:

”While I look forward to New York Fashion Week each season, I’ve made the difficult decision to move our fall 2014 runway show from February 13 in New York to a later date in Los Angeles. As a new mother, my newborn son is too young to travel with me and I’m unable to leave him for the amount of time required to appropriately prepare for the show in New York.”
