Stylist Rachel Zoe has decided to cancel her usual highly anticipated New York Fashion Week catwalk show, opting not to debut her label’s new season collection during her regular fashion week slot. Rachel recently gave birth to her second son named Kaius in December and she’s decided that her son has to come first at this early time in his life and it would be too difficult to travel to NYC. Rachel has thus decided to pulled out of the NYFW show in order to meet his needs and be there for him as a mother. She commented in a statement that she simply doesn’t have enough time to dedicate to preparing a whole show and sadly has to cancel the upcoming presentation:
“While I look forward to New York Fashion Week each season, I’ve made the difficult decision to move our fall 2014 runway show from Feb. 13 in New York to a later date in Los Angeles. As a new mother, my newborn son is too young to travel with me and I’m unable to leave him for the amount of time required to appropriately prepare for the show in New York.”
Rachel’s collection will instead appear at a presentation in Los Angeles on a date which is yet to be announced. According to further reports, the stylist-turned-designer plans to be back on track for the next season and will once again bring her designs back to New York City. Rachel has still confirmed that she will appear at the upcoming market week in NYC.
