We’ve all seen how well Target’s collaboration with high profile fashion designers go over – anyone remember how quickly the Missoni for Target line sold out? Well, the retailer is at it again with a holiday collection created in collaboration with Neiman Marcus, the CFDA, and 24 of the top designers today. The 50-piece collection includes everything from children’s dresses designed by Marchesa to pencils designed by Carolina Herrera to a yoga mat designed by Diane Von Furstenberg.

In honor of the collection’s December 1 launch in both Target and Neiman Marcus stores, celebrities, models, and fashion designers attended a party Wednesday night. All the well-dressed stars hit the red carpet and the event to mingle, pose for pictures, drink champagne, and even shop some for some of the limited edition pieces.

Ken Downing, the fashion director for Neiman Marcus, says the collection is so interesting because of its “enormous diversity of product.” Many people assumed that because fashion designers were commissioned to design all the products, the collaboration would result in a ton of clothes. That’s certainly not the case though! Downing wanted “to make sure there was a really lovely balance of men’s, women’s, children, home, even things for pets” that would touch people emotionally. “It’s not just things you want to give for a gift,” says Downing, “it’s things you want for yourself.”

Kate Bosworth, Zoe Saldana, Leighton Meester, Shay Mitchell, and Allison Williams were just some of the stars in attendance, along with all the designers who took part in the collaboration. 5’11” model Karlie Kloss towered over most of the party guests, but she is also serving as a spokesperson for the collection by starring in a promotional TV commercial.
