First Alber Elbaz teamed up with Lancôme to create a line of makeup, and now Jason Wu is following suit. Wu has announced has that he’ll be launching his first ever makeup collection with the brand later this year.

You won’t be able to get your hands on the line until September and no details about what products will be included in the collection have been released yet. Hopefully we get a peek at the products or at least at Wu’s inspiration next week at his label’s Fall 2013 runway show.

Wu is excited to provide his customers with makeup he values as much as his clothes. He says it’s important to make a woman feel beautiful and he’s happy to help them provide the products that do so. The designer continues,

“Beauty has always been extremely important to the Jason Wu label and I’ve made it an integral part of my fashion shows. What was so intriguing about partnering with Lancôme, beyond the unparalleled quality and luxury of their products, is the notion that the brand doesn’t impose a model of beauty but rather invites women to embrace themselves. This is the embodiment of a truly modern, sexy and confident woman, much like the women I design for.”

Silvia Galfo, senior vice president of marketing for Lancôme, says Wu’s designs are made for a “modern, elegant, and stylish woman,” which is “directly in line with Lancôme’s brand equity.” She also hinted that this collaboration could lead to a longer deal with the designer. We’ll be looking out for news of a permanent Jason Wu makeup collection!
