Rita Ora has just been named as the new face of British-based cosmetics company Rimmel. Joining the likes of previous campaign stars such as Kate Moss and Georgia May Jagger, Rita’s new campaign has yet to be fully unveiled but the singer has commented on her role, saying she wants to bring some fun to the beauty brand and that is what makes her unique as a campaign girl:

”Kate Moss is iconic, and Georgia May Jagger is an English rose; she’s gorgeous. Me, I like exaggerating a colour and being over the top. So when Rimmel approached me, I said, ‘I’d love to do it, but can we go crazy and do bold colours?’ I learnt a lot from them, and we really mixed and matched our ideas.”

Rita is also designing a colourful new makeup collection in collaboration with Rimmel which is set to hit stores on March 17th. The singer, who has also fronted a DKNY campaign, says she has allowed her “cheeky side” to shine through the products. She said:

”I had fun with the creative gang, naming these colours that represent my cheeky side. The orange nail polish is called Orgasm, and there’s White Hot Love, and Breakfast In Bed is a mint green… You get where it’s going!”

Rita has already shared one sneak peek at the new campaign – she took to her twitter account to debut the picture and wrote:

“Here’s the world exclusive for my @rimmellondonuk London campaign….. EXCITING #Rita4Rimmel.”
