You can hardly find anybody, who would declare that he or she doesn’t love summer. This is the brightest season, the season of fun and relaxing. Summer is all about sunshine, golden beaches, pool parties, sun-kissed skin, a sea of fun with your friends and relatives. Still there is one minus about all this – unwanted skin and body issues because of UV rays, humidity, high temperature and the frequent changes of it. No matter the word goes about our skin, hair or lips, we should take some measures to prevent the negative effect summer might bring with it. Therefore, a smart investment will be following these top beauty tips to look hot on the beach.
Alongside with the appropriate makeup products, every girl is to carry certain sunscreens, moisturizers, hair treatments, body lotions, lip balms and hand creams in her summer beauty bag.
Though it may seem quite boring to some of you, still sunscreen plays an essential role in protecting your skin against harmful UV rays, especially if you have a sensitive skin. So make sure to apply a great amount of sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or even higher. Apply it 30 minutes before going out and every 2 hours, after sweating and staying in the water for more than 40 minutes. The best option will be a sunscreen against ultraviolet-A and ultraviolet-B (UVA and UVB) light, which are called “broad-spectrum” sunscreens.
Many think that moisturizers are useless in summer, because they make the skin quite greasy, however they are very effective for our skin, providing necessary hydration. First of all, sun rays result in wrinkles and premature aging. Second, pores become clogged, if you don’t use a moisturizer. And finally, water loss leads to the dull, dehydrated appearance of the skin. In all this cases, nothing can be better than a moisturizer. If your skin is oily, choose an oil-free moisturizer.
Body lotion and after sun body cream
To ensure a fresh-looking skin, it’s advised to use certain nourishing body lotions. During summer you can choose a non-greasy lotion with vitamin E and antioxidants. As for the after sun body creams, they moisturize the skin and make the tan last longer.
The sun, heat, chlorine, humidity and sea salt are the worst enemies of your hair, resulting in dryness, split ends, brittleness and other factors. Therefore it’s advised to change your hair care daily routine, limiting the use of hair chemicals and styling tools, such as curling irons, straightener and hot rollers. Opt for natural, messy hair, which are extremely trendy this year. Use a nourishing serum before and after swimming. A conditioner with sunscreen is also a good option, which you can use before going out. Try to replace you shampoos, conditioners and masks, containing formaldehyde or alcohol with more natural ones.
Lip balm and eye cream
Lips are very sensitive parts of our body, therefore try to frequently use lip balms with at least 15 SPF in summer. A lip treatment with shea butter and vitamin E will be maximum effective. The skin around the eyes is also extremely delicate and requires certain care. Sunglasses and hats are one option against summer heat. Besides, it’s advised to use an eye cream with SPF 15 and vitamin C.
Hand and feet cream
To have smooth and soft hands, try to frequently use nourishing and refreshing hand creams. As for the feet, a good sunscreen and anti-fungal medication are the best options.
